ambitious initiative.

Artists in all mediums are invited to join! This is an opportunity to truly experiment while engaging the public. The application process is very casual, so feel free to submit an application regardless of experience. There will be a series of events, if you are selected to participate in the first one, you’ll be invited to collaborate with a small group of artists to create an exhibit in a short amount of time. If you already have a person(s) that you are interested in working with, just add that into the email.  Selections will be made by level of interest in the project, motivation, and creativity within the chosen media. The mediums for the event will be predetermined and several guidelines will be set into place regarding audience participation, site-specifics, and time. This will hopefully take some pressure off the potential difficulties that face collaborations.  A focus will be put on acquiring materials that can be donated, found, and recycled, however some supplies (such as digital projectors, musical instruments, etc.) will have to be provided by the artists. The intent of “The End of The Dial Tone” is to give emerging artists and students an outlet for experimental and nontraditional practices, while also linking the community to the practices.
